The Potter's Wheel is a place I go to enjoy my passion.

My name is Deci Ruiz and I have been doing pottery for about 16 years.
I have always experimented with one thing or another in my artist journey but the first time
I put my hands in clay I knew I was home. My passion for this medium is what I truly 
want to share with others. I share my passion in my classes as well as at demos I give at the schools in my local community.  Being able to
bring this Art form to both adults and children gives me an incredible sense of fulfillment.
 
Although I do enjoy working solo in my sunlit studio with lite music creating a new personal masterpiece,  the excitement I see on the face of one of my students when they make something out of a lump of clay is indescribable.

Because I am fully self-taught I understand how overwhelming this can seem.
My job is to show you, step by step,  that you can indeed
"Throw A Pot"
 and even more important....we are all creative if we just relax and enjoy......so.....
